Find Duplicate RAW

Jan

Find duplicate RAW Photos by comparing RAW to JPEG, DNG, TIFF, HEIC/HEIF, or any other image format. Compare and find duplicates in all common RAW digital camera image formats – Camera RAW – CRW, CR2, CR3, NEF, RAW, PEF, RAF, X3F, BAY, RF, SRF, MRW, DCR, SR2, DNF, ERF, MEF, ARW and many more. Our duplicate photo finder “LOOKS” at your photos in order to find similarities like a real human would do.

The new version provides also a Photo Search feature that will find similar images by a sample – Reverse Image Search. Download now and solve the issue of useless duplicate photos. Organize your RAW image libraries instantly.

If you shoot in RAW most cameras will also create a JPEG version of the file. Processing the RAW files in Lightroom, Photoshop, or any other image processing application you convert them to JPG, PNG, HEIC, or other more commonly supported image formats. Of course, many of those RAW files are no longer needed but stay behind just to waste a huge amount of disk space. The issue is that a common duplicate finder can not compare JPEG vs RAW or find similarities between image formats. Those tools can not find even exact duplicate photos if they are stored in different photo formats. That is where only Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder can help you.

Find Duplicate RAW Images

VS duplicate photo finder tool performs precise image analysis and “looks” at the photos to find look-alike images. To do that it needs to be able to decode (view) as much as possible image formats in order to be able to compare them. Therefore, it supports an immense number of images. That includes more than 40 popular image formats including JPG, JPEG, JP2000, HEIC/HEIF, PNG, GIF, BMP, and more than 300 RAW Camera formats including the popular NEF, CRW, CR2, CR3, DNG, and many more. It is the most advanced and professional photo deduplication and organizer tool on the market.

Duplicate Photo Finder

Finding duplicate RAW photos is just one of the many features of the cloned image finder tool. There are multiple scan modes, filters, preview, and selection options.

Duplicate RAW Search Modes

  • Visual Similarity – analyze the raw files and detect similarities. Set similarity level to 100% to find exact duplicate RAW files. Set a lower level to find similar images. Those include edited, rotated, color-corrected, flipped, watermarked, or similar shots of the same subject.
  • 100% Identical Files – finds only exact duplicate RAW or other image format files.
  • File Size – fast search mode by file size. If you are scanning only images of the same type this mode can help to quickly weed out the most obvious clones.
  • EXIF Date – find RAW files that have close EXIF time. This mode will find RAW files that are shot at the same or nearly the same time. Of course, if you have used JPG+RAW shooting mode the corresponding JPEG files will be detected too. You can specify the maximum time between the shots. For example, setting 10 seconds will group together the photos that have less than 10 seconds interval between the shot time.
  • Similar EXIF – search for duplicate RAW EXIF data. Similarity can be lowered to find similar EXIF tags too. Those include camera model, description, file name, location, lens type, or any other information that is contained in the EXIF data.

Preview Duplicate RAW Files Side-by-side

The multi-preview feature will let you preview all duplicates side-by-side. You can increase and decrease the preview size by holding the CTRL key and using the mouse scroll. There is also a standard preview which is convenient for comparing two images at a larger size. If that is not enough double-clicking the preview will open the full-screen preview that will let you peek into the details.
